Christ the King Catholic Primary school is a mainstream primary with inclusion at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure that our pupils gain equal access to education through whatever provision may be necessary. This personalised provision is determined through ongoing evaluation of each pupil’s needs over and a commitment to shared decision making with parents.
SEND Concerns and Procedures
If you have any concerns about your child, please start by speaking to their class teacher. They’ll be happy to arrange a time to meet with you, discuss your child’s needs, and offer advice or support.
Your child’s teacher will make a note of your concerns and share this with the Inclusion Team so that we can work together to offer the right support.
If your concerns continue, or if the teacher also feels that your child may need additional help, an Initial Concerns Form will be completed. You’ll then be invited to meet with the class teacher and a member of the Inclusion Team to talk about next steps. This might include strategies to support your child in school, possible interventions, or advice from outside professionals.
If your child is added to the school’s SEND register, we will always discuss this with you.
