We love, aspire and serve with Christ our King

"Let us form in the heart of the child and the young person the lofty ideal of loving and preparing to serve and give to others." Saint Oscar Romero

Welcome...

As the proud Headteacher of Christ the King Catholic Primary School, I am delighted to welcome you to our website. Located in the beautiful surroundings of Wavertree Garden Suburb, Liverpool, our school is a warm, caring, and inclusive community where faith, inclusion, and high aspirations are at the heart of all we do. Guided by our mission statement, “We love, aspire and serve with Christ our King,” Christ remains firmly at the center of our school, and we value every child as a unique individual created in the image and likeness of God.

Our school has served the service to the local community for over 70 years. Over that time, we have built a rich history where generations of the same families have maintained a lasting association with Christ the King. This incredible sense of continuity, loyalty, and family is also reflected in our staff; we are fortunate to have long-serving team members who are now teaching the children of the very pupils they taught not so long ago.

We know that children thrive best when home, school, and parish work together closely. By working hand-in-hand with our families and our parish community, led by our Parish Priest, Fr Colin, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where all children are supported to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. We are committed to giving our pupils the best possible start in life, helping them grow into confident, compassionate individuals.

This strive for excellence and care is widely recognised, and we are proud to be a Flagship School for the Inclusion Quality Mark, a recognised School of Sanctuary, and rated Outstanding in all areas in our most recent Catholic Schools Inspectorate inspection. Furthermore, our most recent Ofsted inspection rightly highlighted that leaders and staff place pupils’ personal development and well-being at the heart of their work.

Whether you are an existing parent, a prospective family, or a visitor wanting to learn more about us, we look forward to welcoming you into our enduring school family.

Start Here, Go Anywhere.

It is our hope that children will leave us equipped with the skills and knowledge to enable them to ‘live life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10). Christ the King Learners will be ready to move on to the next stage of their education being independent, curious, resilient and reflective global citizens who can communicate effectively in a variety of ways.
